The Ides of March

An energetic tribute band from Milan is taking the European metal scene by storm.
"The Ides Of March" is a passionate and dynamic Iron Maiden tribute band formed in Milan in 2019. The band was launched by vocalist Ivan Russo—driven by a deep connection to Iron Maiden's music—with the aim of authentically recreating the sound and energy of the British metal legends and sharing that enthusiasm with fans in Northern Italy and beyond.

* International Recognition
2023 marked the band's international debut; they performed in Switzerland and Germany for the first time. In 2024, the band reached another significant milestone: on March 15, they performed at London’s "Cart & Horses"—known as the "Birthplace of Iron Maiden"—becoming the only active Italian tribute band to feature in the legendary venue's official program. Since then, the band has performed regularly at the Cart & Horses, including a completely sold-out show in May 2026. The renowned venue has hailed the band as "Italy's premium Maiden tribute."

Also in 2024, the official fan club was established. In 2026, the band headlined a sold-out show at the historic "Eddie’s Dive Bar" (located within the "Magazzini Generali" complex in Milan); this official event served as a lead-up to Iron Maiden's historic concert at Milan's San Siro Stadium. 
The band was defined by magazines such as *Metal Hammer* and *Classic Rock* as the "best Italian Iron Maiden tribute band" (2026).

Notable collaborations include work with guitarists Terry Rance and Terry Wapram (both early Iron Maiden members), Chris Dale (bassist for Bruce Dickinson on the *Skunkworks* solo album), and Joe Lazarus (Steve Harris’s nephew and a renowned session drummer in the UK and Europe).
