A Place On The Map

A Place On The Map was formed in Milan in November 2021, from the meeting of Giuliano Maggio and Francesco Frulio. After numerous explorations and changing lineup, Marco Crimaldi joined on drums and sequences in the spring of 2022.

With various musical influences and experiences behind them, they began composing original tracks, a mix of post-rock, electronic and shoegaze, initially only instrumental music. At the beginning of 2023, the band started working on recording new songs, participating in contests and various live performances in Lombardy. In 2024, the band found its definitive lineup with the addition of Natascia D'Amico on vocals, followed by Giacomo Cocetta on drums, allowing Marco Crimaldi to focus entirely on the electronic instruments and opening up to sung tracks and other new musical influences.

The first EP, “A Place On The Map,” was released on 2nd November 2024, preceded by the singles “Frullone” and “De Marchi,” which were released on January 6 and March 8, 2024, respectively.

Now, between live concerts and contests, the band is working on new songs.

The meaning of band's name, “A Place On The Map”, it’s a location, a moment, a memory. A space: where people meet, things happen, and emotions are generated. Because a place is not just a geographical space, but also—and perhaps above all—the relationships within it. “With our music, we try to recount our experience of these places that are anything but physical.”
